What is it

In line with Caixa’s commitment to the development of Brazil, the CAIXA Socio-Environmental Fund (FSA CAIXA), created in 2010, invests company resources to support socio-environmental projects and investments with a focus on the low-income population.

How it works

The resources that make up the CAIXA Socio-Environmental Fund come from CAIXA’s annual net income, limited to 2%, defined in an Application Plan approved by the company’s management.

Access to FSA CAIXA resources is through the selection of project proposals presented, according to the current Application Plan and according to the modalities:

• Public selection – projects selected based on criteria disclosed in specific public notices.

• Support for internal policies – strategic projects proposed by external entities, donors or onlending resources to FSA CAIXA, also within the scope of action and thematic lines defined in the Application Plan.

• Financial incentive for sustainable businesses – seeks to strengthen the offer of credit with differentiated conditions to promote solutions that have socio-environmental additionalities.
