CAIXA does not restrict its activities to offering banking products and services. The responsibility for operating various benefits, social and labor programs, such as the Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS), Unemployment Insurance, the Bolsa Família Program and Minha Casa Minha
Vida, are also part of CAIXA’s activities. As the main public policy agent of the federal government, CAIXA actively contributes to eradicating poverty and improving income distribution among the Brazilian population.
